HISTORY
The Grumman G-21 Goose stands as a remarkable amphibious flying boat crafted by Grumman primarily to cater to the needs of businessmen in the Long Island region, offering seating for up to eight passengers. Notably, the Goose marked several significant milestones for Grumman: it was their inaugural monoplane to take flight, their first twin-engined aircraft, and their debut aircraft to be utilized in commercial airline operations. As World War II erupted, the Goose seamlessly transitioned into a valuable asset for the US military, including the United States Coast Guard, and found service in numerous other air forces globally. Throughout the conflict, its versatility saw it fulfill an expanding array of roles, from transport to combat and training duties.
